About Us

DiddleDots was started back in May of 2009 by Susie Garlick.  She posted a DOT a day to help ease the craziness of parenting.  Back in the early 90's Susie was working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. It was here that one of her professors said, "The more classroom management you have, the less discipline problems you will deal with." This was very helpful in Susie's classroom, but she never realized how this sentence would be the beginning of DiddleDots.  It is Susie's belief that if parents would run their homes like teachers run their classrooms, parenting would be much easier.

After about four months of a DOT a day, Susie shut down the website. She was a stay at home mom to her three children while working toward a Master of Arts in Professionally Counseling. For the next two years, Susie wrote and published the DiddleDots book and restarted the website in early 2012. Enjoy the DOTs and send us your comments.  We as parents have an important job.  Let's do it together one DOT at a time.
